help with the vss wire \

my car volume increases as i drive automatically. There is a rumor that i dont need to to connect it if my car has that. I have no clue i need help. big time!! also whats the reverse wre and do i need it . i have a pontiac 2004 grand prix gtp

You still need the VSS wire, it's just that if the stock unit has speed sensitive volume, there may be a VSS wire located on the car's radio wiring harness making it easier to gain access to.

And as far as the reverse wire, just tap into the power wire going into one of your reverse lights on the back of the car.

However, if it matters, the D3 does not have speed compensated volume. I hate that! -1 for pioneer
