i was wondering if the ipod is charging when plugged into the avic-d3 with the ipod cable? sry if its a dumb question but i would hate to think i would have to keep brining it home to charge

thanks for the answer..i have another quick question...is the ipod cable a quick plug in or i gotta take the unit out then plug it in? basically im getting it install at bestbuy..should i jus buy the ipod cable there and install it or its a simple plug in fromthe front screen..ty

the ipod cable for the d3 plugs into the rear of the unit...requiring you to take it out and plug it in that way you get control of the ipod (switching tracks, etc) on the d3

Don't you mean you plug the ipod connector into the back of the D3 during installation of the D3 and leave it rolled up in a convient spot so that when you want to use your ipod you just plug the ipod into the ipod cable?? Or am I missing something here???
