I have it installed in my Saab and it looks amazing. So far, I really like

the unit, but have to confirm a couple things:

1) How do I find out if I need any firmware updates? I probably can figure

out where I can get at the current version. If there is an upgrade, how do

I get it?

2) iPOD control...can you not select an artist and hit play? Do you have to

drill down to the actual song?

3) Will have to figure out how to do the bypass, where instructions should be

available in the other forum section, so no probs there. :-)

4) Where did you guys place your iPOD?

Don't worry about it. There are no upgrades for the D3 right now. If there is one in the works, it's at least a few months away. They usually come out yearly at the most frequent.

I don't recall exactly how you get to there through the menus because I just hit shuffle all and skip what I don't feel like listening to at the moment... But you should know that it's the SAME EXACT method as when using the actual ipod. So however you do it with the ipod, that's how it is on the D3.

3) Will have to figure out how to do the bypass, where instructions should be available in the other forum section, so no probs there. Smile

Yeah, the bypass really is a piece of cake. People make it out to be some crazy super hard impossibly complex task... but after they do it, they realize it was probably the easiest part of installing the unit. Which is kinda easy in he first place.

4) Where did you guys place your iPOD?

Glove compartment. Because I'm never going to touch it... might as well stick it somewhere out of the way.

I assume you need to drill to get the cable into the glove box?

Depends on the car. I have my BTB200 unit in the glovebox and there was no drilling necesary. The sides of the box open up to the inside of the dash and it was very very easy to pass wires from the console to the box
