I have a N2, I have the orange wire of N2 hooked to my illumination wire on my LS. At night the unit will dim. I have a friend with a N1 at night his background on navigation is black, mine is white. Is there a way I can change this, I read the owners manual and cant find anything. The white background is still a little bright, black would be much better. Anyone heard of this??? THANK YOU!

You have your illumination wire hooked up to the wrong wire. When you turn on your headlights, the map should go to black.

It dims because it has an ambient light sensor so it knows how light or dark it is

Thats what I thought, I hooked orange on N2 to my blue illumination, but I will take it apart and look again. Thank you!
