This is my first post on this forum. but have installed many radios in many vehicles before. But for some reason this one is giving me so many problems. I Have tried using the metra mounting kit for the 05 tacoma to hold the D2 and The sleeve does not eben come close to fitting. Now I bought a scosche mounting kit thinking that was just a flawed kit but now the current kit barely doesnt fit the sleeve but will no way fit the mounting flange. Help im not an idiot... I cant figure out for the life of me what im doing wrong!!! Thanks..... PS- I look forward to all the info and help i may need or provide on this forum

When you say sleeve, are you talking about the cage? As far as I remember you have to use the factory radio backets on a double din then the plastic dash piece just sorta snaps into place.
