So got everything installed...but when i first start up nav i get this message that my unit is a storefront model...which i dont understand what that is...and does the user agreement for the nav ever go away? i keep hitting okay but it keeps coming back.

Reset the unit with the push pin and this time dont press the "storefront demo" button when prompted.

When I did my start up, I didn't start the engine as the manual states (I read it after). Does it matter? Everything seems to work fine.

shouldn't matter.

Yeah, the unit doesn't know (or care) whether the engine is running or not, just that it has a supply of roughly 12 volt current going to it.

Yeah, I kinda figured. Wanted to be sure. Couldn't understand how that would have helped, vehicle wasn't moving.
