1. my installer of my d3 said he shouldn't hook up the illumination wire because it will blow out all my interior lights of my 2004 grandprix gtp...is he bs' n' me?

2. after i do my bypass, will the annoying message stop popping up when u switch to navi mode (WARNING message)

hey man hes tripping i have it hooked upin my car perfectly fine io have a 2004 pontiac prix i just installed it, and if your using the gmos-04 harness you have to connect the stero illumination wire with the dimmer wire of the harness becuase if you connect it to the illumination wire it didnt seem to work for me

Don't listen to that installer! I had a BestBuy installer put in my D3, and that jerkoff said the same thing that installer told you. I told him to do it anyway. Had my unit for 5 months.... no problems at all.
