I'm having a danged time finding this;

I have the Samsung M500 phone with Bluetooth.

I can connect the phone, listen to MP3's make calls. It works just fine and dandy.

like many other phones, I can't sync address book, which sucks

But, the thing i can't figure out is how to automatically connect my phone when i getinto the car.

So far, when i leave the car and come back, I must manually do it by going to my phone and telling it to connect, and going to the Avic and telling it to connect. Pretty impractical i must say as unless i think to do it EVERYTIME i get in the car, its not the safest to do while driving.

How do i fix this?

Register your phone in location 1

i must have seriously misssed something! cause i have no clue what you're talking about! lol

It's in the manual. You just missed it, I guess. I don't have the process in front of me, but once you're connected, press some buttons, check some options, and get it to store in the blank space for Phone #1.

Also, you need to set your phone to autoconnect as well. The settings may be similar to "always connect" "Never connect" "ask before connecting" etc, just make sure to "always connect" and you should be fine...that is, of course, after you register the phone in the D3

i'm sure i'll figure it out when i remember where the manual is, thanks for the help

i have to say, as generic as those instructions are, i laughed at them. its going to be my new help line

When your phone is paired, hit menu, touch function on the screen, touch phone register on the screen, press and hold button 1 on the touchscreen. Done

Read the manual anyway, its amazing how much better stuff works when you know how to use it
