Real quick question:

If I understand this process correctly, if I have an N3 brain and an N2 head unit, using the CNDV-70MT disc, I should be able to update the firmware on the N2 to update to an N3 giving me the better iPod & XM capabilities correct? This should in turn update not only the firmware but the maps as well?

If you use the CNDV 70-mpt map disc, all your doing is upgrading the maps, and the mapping software....NOTHING ELSE

So to upgrade the firmware of the N2 head unit to allow for the improved ipod and xm features, is there a firmware disc I need to create? I've searched but have not found the process for doing this. Rather than send it off I'd like to do it myself and be more hands on.

i would like to know the answer to this as well because i did the same thing. i i changed my old N2 brain to N3. so i now have N2 face and using N3 brain,but everysince i've upgraded to N3 brain, my radio isn't producing any sound, and the ipod is not working.

everything else works fine like gps, mp3, movies, etc...
