2005 Ford Explorer XLT VSS — AVIC411 Forum Archive

Hey Guys,

Installing a D3 into a 2005 Ford Explorer with no amp/upgraded speakers, and standard cd player.

I tried to find the VSS wire, but no such luck so far. Anyone know where the VSS wire is?

I'm not going to bother with the reverse camera, that I have, so if anyone wants it, PM me.

gray/black in the radio harness.

Awesome, so it's in the radio harness. I'm not sure how you do it, but you always do, and I gotta say I love you for it. (No gay pun intended)

it seems like alot of fords its on the gray/black wire on the radio harness. it was the same wire on my f150, i hope its the same wire on my wifes 07 mustang!

Nope 07 rustang it's some other color at the pcm under the hood. Sorry.

07 mustang:

Speed Sense dk. blue/yellow ac PCM, top plug, pin 3

The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is in the front passenger side of the engine compartment.
