Does anybody know how to change the Map color combinations. Right now day time and night time are the same colors on my AVIC-D3. I have been to the Video adjust in the system menu, selected Map but it will not let me change color or hue.

did u connect ur illumination wire?

Would that be the Orange/White lead labeled " to lighting switch terminal"?

Will it dim the unit or change the colors when the headlights are turned on?

I just had my D3 installed yesterday, and I also see no difference in the daytime or nighttime setting, and hate having to manually adjust the light level.

It should cause the screen to dim when the lights are turned on. The illumination wire may be hooked up improperly, or you may have daytime running lights that interfere with tat function... But if you had it professionally installed, I'd go back and have them do it properly.
