I have my 30 gig ipod photo connected to my D3. When I shut off my truck and restart it the menu button on the touch screen no longer works (responds to touch but does nothing) This also happens sometimes all on its own, do others also find this or is it unusual? I tried my wife's 80 gig ipod (gen5?) it it does the same thing. Is there anyway to correct this?

The other thing I find is the remote is useless for the ipod but I am sure there is no fix for that.

There's a thread around here mentioning the exact same problem, and what's causing it. There is currently no fix for it. Has something to do with searching.

The menu button takes you back one step from how you got to where you are. Since the ipod was turned off then back on it no longer remembers how it got to where it is, so it has no screen/menu to go back to when you hit the button.
