i recently installed components in my 06 tc and now i have a alt whine. i have tried 2 amps and grounded the rcas and it is still there. the ground i used for the amps is bare metal so i dont think that is the problem. could it be the head unit itself?

Try grounding the head unit (and any other powered add-on modules you've hooked up) to the chassis instead of the car's radio harness ground.

done that too...no luck

ok i regrounded everything and ran a ground to each of the rca's i still get a little bit of engine whine, but not as bad as it was. could i add a ground loop isolator to the already grounded rcas to get rid of the rest of the whine?
