i am ordering the Z2 to install in my 2000 navigator. i am new on here and have been reading all these different mods people are doing. please advise me if there is anything that needs to be done prior to installing it.

 

do i need to do some kind of software update?

i want to be able to play dvd and/or gps while driving and also

using steering wheel controls with unit

If it was made after june of this year, follow these instructions (even though they say Z1, its the same on a Z2)

If it was made before that, you may have to download a patch that can be found in the hacks/mods section in addition to the instructions above

 

For steering wheels controls, you have to buy an adaptor
