Will the Ipod shuffle work with the D3?

Yes, but not through the D3's ipod interface. The ipod shuffle doesn't have a dock connector like the ipod nano and classics do. So you will have to connect it to one of the D3's AV inputs and control playback from the ipod, not the D3.
