Bluetooth call quality?

Hello all,

Last night I installed my Z2... I installed the microphone in my driver's side A pillar rather than using the goofy looking microphone mount provided by Pioneer.

Call quality is horrible... generally, I can hear the person I'm calling, but they can't understand I word I'm saying.

Does anyone else have this problem?

My assumption is there is one of two things happening:

1.) A-Pillar was a bad choice, and I'm picking up vibrations that are overpowering the microphone.

2.) Pioneer bluetooth blows.

Any ideas?

Its probably both. Try different mic locations with the holder they provide. It needs some open space behind it for noise cancellation

Yeah, I drilled out a large hole in the A-Pillar behind the mic... it probably has about 4 inches of space. I'll give the holder a try tonight to compair.

Looks like #1 was about 90% of the problem... I popped the microphone out of my A-Pillar and call quality improved significantly.

There are a couple of slots in the back half of the mic that are used for noise cancellation... they were inside of my a-pillar, so it was killin the call quality.
