I just got a Z2 and put it in today. I was going to do the 2 wire mod but couldn't get the file to download.
So I grounded out the E-brake wire and didn't do anything with the other wire and wasn't able to do anything with the CD obviously sinse I couldn't download anything.
Anyway with the just the brake wire grounded everything seems to work OK and I can use the GPS while driving. The only thing I get is a warning that says that the brake wire isn't connected correcty. Is the other wire and the software maybe so you can watch a DVD while driving? I haven't tried that yet.
Or should I hook the brake wire up the way it is suppose to be and leave it all alone because the new units don't need any mods. Or am I missing the point all together and missing out on all the things you can do with your radio once it is modded?
Please help the new guy.
