Never seen a thead on this topic before so ima talk about it.....

i just received a verizon u900 (flipshot) yesterday and i was able to connect, and register on first try. Pretty simple and a breeze.

Next i uploaded all my phonebook at once to the BTB200, which was also simple.

However, i noticed that when i looked at my phonebook through the d3, the names were no longer in alphabetical order. They were all mixed in together. A's with Z's, S's with O', etc....

Not very practical, so i decided to clear memory and upload each letter at a time.

All A's first, then B's, then C', D's, E's and so on. I only have 88 contacts so it took me like a couple minutes.

When i was done all the names in my D3 were in the order i uploaded them, alphabetically A-Z, etc....

The order whithin the letter range was still mixed but still in Alphabetal order by first letter.

Hope this helped anyone with similar problems

Yeah, that sucked for me too. I had to do them one by one with my V3xx, and I did not realize that it would not alphabetize them for me (dumb). Luckily, I input the more important ones first, so those are always at the top.

I believe you could also initiate a search in the d3.

Yeah, but that's way too much work for a phonecall, especially when the voice command option doesn't work, either. I just open the phone and dial...I can do that safer than fidgeting with the D3 search controls.

I know. I'm better at remembering full phone numbers than I am at remembering where they're stored. I've got my presets on the D3 set as pretty much the same ones as on the phone. I really only call a few people often enough to care, it's just one more quirk of the D3/BTB pair.s

You guys know that the default phonebook listing is First name-Last name? This is probably opposite of what your phone is. (which would make them all out of order) You can change it to Last name-First name and then it should mimic your phone. Might be helpful.

I don't use last name in my phone...but thanks for the info.
