does anyone know what the milivolt output on a nano ipod is. I think it must be quite low, I had mine hooked into my home stereo last night thru an aux in and I had to have the volume on the ipod all the way up and the stereo volume up much higher than I normally have it to just get a listenable level, thanks for any help

It's really, really low, as it's only meant to be used with the little earbuds. You might get better volume if you hooked it up through a phono/record player input if your stereo has one. They are meant to work with lower level inputs.
