Hey guys, I was driving in Atlanta, and my AVIC D3 said do not poweroff, updating. What the heck was it updating?
That was weird.

The route, I'm guessing. That's the only thing there is to update.

It took forever, seemed like a firmware update or something. The screen was black, and with grey letters and grey bar.
Very weird.

Well there are no firmware updates for the D3, and even if they were, you would have to have bought an update disk, they wouldn't be on the original disk.
If it only happens this one time, I wouldn't worry about it.

Do you have satellite radio? If so then that is what's doing it. If not then I don't know.

AHH.. don't know what happened. I am convinced that the Avic D3 has a mind of it's own.
