Hi,

Ive lost my installation manual? does anyone have a pdf copy or anything like that............know where i can get one? i need to know how the many IP_BUS wires get connected to the back of the D3.

I've installed the D3, with the Ipod adapter and BTooth and XM traffic. I didnt have the manual so the IP-BUS connectors is where i got confused?? Blue ends/ black ends, etc...i dont know where they go... so far the D3 works great and the ipod and BT are working. but the XM-T still showes grey'd out in the AV menu.

Also, for the BT when i sync with my phone it ask for a pin number/password? what the heck is that???

Thanks so much?

The manuals are available on the Pioneer website: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... C-D3?tab=D

The IP-BUS ports are colored to match the end of the cable (blue or black). Bluetooth PIN number is usually 0000.

hey thanks! okay, on page 7 and 8: I am following the schematic! but im guessing im missing a IP-Bus cable (sold separately)???

on page 7 of manual (pg 8/54 on pdf):

1. ip-bus cable BLUE end connects to the back of the D3, then runs along the top of the page and goes to page 8(pg 9/54 on pdf). THEN connects BLACK end to the back of the Btooth but says "IP-bus cable - (sold separately)"

2. is that what im missing?? I dont remember until i pull it all out?

3. I think i might have gotten an ip-bus cable switched and connected the Blue tooth and since im guessing im short a wire i didnt connect one of the ip-bus cables to the XMT which is probably why the XMT is not showing up on my D3 screen??

When you're installing a bluetooth adapter and XM, you need an IP-BUS cable between the bluetooth adapter and the D3 (included with the bluetooth adapter), an IP-BUS cable between the bluetooth adapter and the XM tuner (included with the XM tuner), and an XM data cable between the XM tuner and the D3 (also included with the XM tuner).

I don't see how you could be short a cable but you can buy an IP-BUS cable on eBay for about $12 or less.

yes, i got ya completely now!, i followed the schematic and i think i figured out what i did wrong....

1. I think i did the ip bus cable from the D3 Blue - to BTooth black. - thats why the BTooth IS working in my car. GREAT!!!

2. then i think in the confusion i connected the other ip bus cable from the xmt blue back to itself on the black "IN" port. - thats why the XMT is not working.....

3. I know i hooked up the data cable because its a different type of connector and im certain i hooked that up.

?????
