Hi , I live in the UK and I am thinking of buying an avic-z2 from the USA via ebay : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 3DWatching

I have three main questions really ....

1: Will I be able to load UK maps onto it

2: Apart from the satellite radio is there anything else I will not be able to use in the UK?

3: Will I be able to watch UK region DVD's ?

Any other advice also gratefully received.

Cheers

Stuart

1. Doubt it

2. You won't get the european TMC traffic stuff that the UK version has. You also won't be able to listen to FM station that have two digits after the decimal point. Ex. 105.25

3. No

As above. The equivalent European version is the HD3BT, which is the one you would need...

Yeah don't waste your time, its not multiregion, euro maps I belive can be loaded but a lot of messing around, sirius doesnt work, traffic won't work....give it a miss and save the difference for the UK version!
