I was wondering if someone knows if Pioneer is working in improving the Avic software. I was just thinking about some great ideas to make the software even better.

1- Direct MP3 transfer from CD to HD.

2- Giga MP3 format supported (MP3's burned on a DVD)

3- One step command voice line (Example: Call phone xxx-xxx-xxxx) instead of Multiple steps : Telephone - Call Number - xxx-xxx-xxx

4- GPS Coordinates input supported ( 38°28'51.86"N, 109°36'15.93"W)

5- More "Vehicle Dynamics" Themes

I didn't know it was possible to push the command softkey and say "call phone number 411" and it will dial. mmmm I have a Blackberry 8800 maybe it's a little different.

I'm going to try it though.

hmmm, the call phone number might be a multi-step process... definitely... "Call Home" works without any problems alon with anyone else who's in the phone-book

It is what i thought.

I HATE that, when searching POI's, if I click one to see where it is, then click back, it dumps me out to the main screen. Pioneer, if you're listening, please fix this! It makes searching for food on trips a VERY unpleasant, long process.

- volume control while you are on a call for the music and the callers voice on the main screen

- ipod control (obviously)
