like the topic said is there a way to strap the unit down so thieves will have a hard time getting it out?

if a thief wants to get it out they will get it somehow since they are scum of the earth and cant work for there own things

There is a screw hole in the back. I believe it is a 5mm hole. You could use metal strapping tape (plumber's tape) and attach it to the chassis. But as the guy above said, if they really want it, they will get it. Make sure your insurance covers theft and vandalism.

Like jaedee said, just make sure your insurance covers it. Making it really hard to steal might actually cause the potential theif to cause more damage to your dash if they get pissed, annoyed, or just try really hard to get it out. They will just try to rip it out anyway they can.

yea just get some good insurance or make a fake plate for it

if they cant get it out, then if they can have it then you cant have it....theyll probably smash in the screen or something

o ic...well ima just get a nice alarm and check my insurance luckily i have a scion tc so they have a cover for the avic d3 so i'll just put that cover over it and let the thieve take a guess if its a nice HU or just a regular one =]

Basically... if you can put it into your car, a thief can take it out.
