Hi im new to this site,

and have seen almost every bypass method out here, but i had my D-3 unit installed at best buy and the RCA Connector was not used at all, (and left in box after install) . My question to this forum how could i bypass this if my RCA connector is completely left out? Do I just switch the mute cable pin location... plug the un-used RCA connector in and ground both the mute wire and light green parking brake wire ??

Sorry about adding another bypass question Im sure Im going to be banned for asking this .. but i couldn't find this exact problem with a clear solution.

No, after doing the bypass the must wire pin on the RCA harness will now be empty. Besides, that wire has nothing to do with the internal muting of the D3. It's only for external sources, like Onstar, to mute the radio. All the muting for Pioneer add-on components, like the bluetooth unit, is done over the ip-bus data cable.

THX for the confirmation just installed the bypass I moved the mute pin into the new location ....cut off the male connector that comes with this wire grounded it to the ground wire using a wire tap then removed the splice that best buy connected to the positive connection of the parking brake and grounded it to the negative wire on the parking brake using a wire tap and......... BYPASSED!!! THX for the help
