New to this forum so please forgive the newbie questions. I just bought a preowned D2 and had it installed yesterday. Do I need the metal plate that goes underneath the gps antenna? I have it resting on top of my dash in between the windshield and the dashboard. Reason why I ask is cause the arrow that's suppose to be my car is never pointing straight. I tried the orientation button on the bottom right corner but all that does is move the map around. The arrow still moves every other way but straight. Does that metal plate have anything to do with my problem? Can I use any ordinary metal plate or is it a special part that needs to be ordered through Pioneer? thanx!!!
