how much better is the z2? Pioneer is offering $200 rebate on the d3 until April 30, '08. Could probably get one new for like $400- the z2 seems to be $1000 ballpark. Is it worth the extra money?

Do you need the music storage, bigger screen, dual zone capability, free disk slot, worse ipod interface, and worse bluetooth?

If yes, get the Z. If no, get the D

the biggest differences to me seem to be

1. larger screen

2. don't have to use nav cd for every use on the z2 (is this true?)

3. better interface overall?

Other than that they seem very similar...

The Z2 doesn't have nav disks, its on the hard drive. That leaves your disk slot free all the time. The interfaces are similar, except for ipod where the D3 is much faster and transfers video
