I know this has probably been addressed, but I can't seem to find it. Here goes, on a Z1, can I use my Iphone using the ipod AND bluetooth interface at the same time? If listening to audio via the dock plug, will I get phone calls and be able to answer them via the bluetooth?

When I plug in my Iphone it does nothing not even charge the phone, so I plugged in my Ipod and never tried the phone via the dock plug again. I don't believe that the Iphoe will play on the Z1 or Z2, though I could be wrong.

You must put your iphone in airplane mode before you can play or charge your phone via the Z2. You may play your music this way, but since the network is disconnected via the airplane mode, you will not be able to receive calls.

Thanks I did not know about the airplane mode.

I'm a little lost with the original post and the answers given...

But the Iphone works great...I hit no everytime it ask me to turn Airplane mode on, so that I can still get my calls, which it does just fine. You can listen to the music, and if you get a call, or call someone, it turns off the music and goes into BT phone...when you hang up, i will continue the music...

I have no idea if it's capable of charging, because I have never tried to turn on Airplane mode(cause I want my calls) so I guess it may charge if that's other's exsperiences...

But by not turning on airplane mode, you do often get the funky sounds from data being trnsmitted to and from the phone...Same as if you held it up to your computer's speakers...But it isn't that loud, nor is it that annoying to me...

The only complaint I have with the Iphone and Avic...is that there is no way to transfer the contacts to the Avic via BT...therefore I have no caller ID on the Avic, even though I manually entered my contacts into the Avic...Which sucks, as there are times that I just don't want to talk to certain people...
