I just bought the AVIC-DH3BT which is the equivalent of the Z2 in the USA.

It’s working great and I am very happy.

The only thing is, I can't play region 1 DVDs, most of my DVDs are bought in the USA with region code 1

 

1) Does anyone know the DVD player model used in AVIC-HD3BT?

2) Does anyone know how to unlock the DVD player and make it region free?

There are no known hacks for unlocking the DVD region.

 

As a work around, you might try ripping the DVD to your PC, then reauthoring your own DVD.
