I have a 2004 BMW X5 and I was looking at adding a navigation system to it. I talked to a sales rep at best buy and he recommended me to go to this site. I have a few questions about the Pioneer AVIC-Z2 Navigation system:

1) Will my CD changer work with this system?

2) How about the steering wheel controls?

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

1. No, but you can buy a pioneer one for pretty cheap

2. Yes, but you will need an adaptor

The internet or your local car audio store for both

I've always found it interesting that there is a CD-changer for these units. Isn't the whole point of the internal HDD to replace the need? That one they have listed on the accessories page on the pioneer website ain't cheap. On ebay it's like $450.

The CD changers aren't necessarily for "these" decks, they are for all Pioneer decks. P-bus is P-bus, it will work with anything that has it

6 disk--$160

12 disk--$180

You must've been looking at DVD changers to come up with a price higher than that
