The incoming call volume on my D3 is probably three times the volume of any of my audio inputs.

 

Is there a way to equalize the volumes so my ear drums don't pop every time I get a phone call?

 

Also, is there any way to get the navigation voice to mute itself on phone calls?

I don't remember seeing it anywhere in the manual but I found that when you adjust the phone volume using the standard volume control (knob on left side) it will remember your setting for the next call even after switching to other audio sources.
