I grounded my wires, and my Z2 unit bypass only works until I press the reset button by the eject button, but thats not the problem. The problem is once i input a address into the Navigation part the error message comes back up and the bypass no longer works. Can anyone tell me how I can fix this problem. And YES I DOWNLOADED ALL THE BYPASS FILES BUT ONCE I TRY TO INSTALL IT IN MY UNIT NOTHING HAPPENS. It just says CD-Rom loaded.

I may be wrong...but it sounds like you didn't update correctly. If you inserted the disc and only got "cd-rom inserted" then you didn't burn the disc correctly.

I read through a bunch of threads and eventually found where someone posted specific instructions on the burning program to use (Active Iso Burner) and when I burned the disc with that program, it worked. Of course this was after I tried it numerous times with Roxio and Nero to no avail.

Just do a search on here for Active Iso Burner and you should find the thread with instructions.

Just to take what you asked a step further...let's say I try this active ISO burner...(which I have) are there any little tweaks on the setting you have to do BEFORE you burn to disc? or is it totally 100% install, point, click, burn?

I can't remember off hand, but I'm sure I just opened the Active Iso program, found the file (it was the only one that showed up with the active Iso icon) and clicked burn.

Just be sure that you close the session/finalize the disc. That should be an option right before you click "burn".

I too had the same problem when loading the file. I used Nero 7 Essentials to burn the ISO file. I inserted the the disc and received the same error message. I ejected the CD and reinserted it until the HU began to read the disc. I then depressed the map button for a few seconds and the update screen popped up. I selected OK, loaded the files and updated the unit. Dont know if that was a fluke or what but it worked for me.

Now I am getting the EBrake message again so the mute wire to the harness must have a bad connection. Have to remove it from the harness and make a tighter connection.
