Anyone know if all the Pioneer D type Nav's use the same connection?
Wondering if I upgrade from D2 to D4 will it be a seamless swap out...

Is adapting interface the same across the D line of products

I wouldnt think so... Pioneer show two different part numbers for the D2 and the D3, dont think that a D4 (if produced) would follow suit, unless its uses the same harness as the D3

There is no D4. And the D3 has a different wire harness than the D1 & D2 do.

They have the same part number's on Pioneer's parts site, so i would assume that they are the same part, so yes.

yes they are in fact the only difference between the d1 and d2 is the map software they come with and the silkscreen on the radio face.

Thanks sounds like the D2 is backward compatible to the D1 and thats it!
