When can we expect the new 2008 Maps to come out? Does anybody know if there will be new features added?

From what I've heard, sometime before the end of spring... but nothing concrete. And there's really no way to know what will and will not be updated until the disks are out.

Yes you will have to pay for it. Most of Pioneer's update disks for other units are $250 so I don't see why this would be any different.

Unless of course you find it elsewhere for less... like ebay or a torrent site.

I have always found it pretty ridiculous how much they charge for the updates, but thats all companies not just Pioneer!

Well thats just the way it goes... Do you honestly think water is worth over a buck a bottle and that gas REALLY cost over 3 bucks a gallon....

And if nobody buys the discs at the $250 price, the will go on "sale".

I hope they fix the crappy map algorythms! Map something on Mapquest and try the same thing on your D3. Everytime I do so, I shave about 10% or more off the mileage by using Mapquest. Initially I thought it was XM NavTraffic that was helping until it re-routed me 100 miles out of the way into the teeth of a frickin' blizzard!

i thought you said lizzard.

will there ever be support for asian characters with the ipod cable or does pioneer only cater to english speaking people?
