I just purchased the AVIC-D3X for my 1930 Model A Ford.

I have a question about connecting the pink Car Speed Signal Input wire. I have a 6 volt system and I have an inverter to a 12 volt system.

I don't have anything to connect the pink wire to. It is recommded that I purchace a pulse generator (ND-PG). This cost around $200.00 +. Do I need to install pulse generator?

it's not absolutely needed. Try it out. If the navi seems accurate then don't bother getting the pulse gen. If you have issues with the navi then pick one up.
