I just installed my Z2 the other day and love it. The only issue I have is when I insert a CD into the drive, it seems like it is copying the CD name, track names, or Genre, so I can search through and find what Cd I want to listen to. The first cd I did, it downloaded everything pefect. But after that, nope. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, how did you fix it?

Not all CD's are in the CDDB database on the HDD. There are, however, biannual updates. Here's the latest:

Version number: 08-01-0010, Date released: March, 2008

Discs with CD-TEXT track info embedded will show just fine either way. For example, you can burn an Audio CD in iTunes with the option to include CD-TEXT and it'll show up on the Z2 perfectly.

Good luck

Confirm the options in the AV settings to record discs automatically. You can turn this option to manual so it won't automatically record discs.

Would it have anything to do with my parking brake wire not being hooked up?

Not at all.

Try an old classic and see if it finds the track info.

I've had the best luck by burning the artist's album to a CD-RW, then letting the Z2 rip it to the drive. I can then go into the library, have it update the titles, and all of the songs are set up for voice recognition.

Good luck.
