Hi there

I live in Spain and am a newbie here.:D

Have just fitted D3 and really like everything about it. Have 6 disc changer and i-pod and all are great. EXCEPT radio reception ie ordinary stereo FM. My car has a rear window aerial and booster but the quality of radio is a lot worse than the OEM unit. Can I tune the set to the aerial to improve reception? Have tried reset but does not improve. Have tried local setting etc etc.

Also on CD changer or head unit can you put in disc title or CD text or is it a 'read only' feature?

any input appreciated

I'm not sure about the CD text, but did you hook up the power antenna wire to the antenna booster? If your antenna is boosted the reception will be crap unless it is powered up.

Vu- pronounced "VOO"

Vue- pronounced "View"

Just teasing you but its a French phrase.

This is going to become a "Haze the new guy" thread pretty soon...hahahah

thanks for all the feedback and the french/english lesson.

Possibly the most relevant point is the power feed to the antenna. (and the info on the other thread about CD text) My car is a subaru forester. I guess I need to check the wiring diagram for the connector block and see if there is a feed for the antenna amp. The Subaru block is a single 17 pin block which I got an adapter for to suit the standard ISO connections.

Well that don't make no sense. I eat french fries all the time... ;) Ok, I'll stop now.

OP: Hope it's just the simple matter of that power up antenna wire. Good Luck.
