Instead of sending you a disc, I can try to make it easy for you.

Put a blank CD in your D drive and run THIS.

It'll burn the update disc automatically. Once complete, put the disc in your Z2 and go to the map screen.

(if your burner is not D, tell me the letter and I'll recompile)

Ok cool hopefully it doesnt matter that I'm using a mac. If so I'll try it on my PC. Do i have to do anything special when burning it to CD?

PC only.

No - it's a single EXE file that extracts and burns the self-included image to cd (d-drive only). You don't have to do anything other than put a blanc disc in your D drive =D

DAMN! even with the link you gave me, it still doesnt work. I placed the CD in my unit and press Map and it just says CD-Inserted. I dont understand why this is so hard to figure out. My unit version is 2.0000 i'm trying to update it to the 2.0500 version. WHY ISNT THIS WORKING?

AND AFTER I DID THE WIRE BYPASS the unit worked fine for about 4 days then the parking brake message came up all of sudden...So i really need this update CD because the ones that i'm making arent working.

I think you're mistaken... there is no 2.0500.

Even after the freezing update, the highest version on the Z2 is 2.000500.

Go to your version screen, do this, and tell me what you see:

Your right my system has been updated all along. I'm the stupid one...Now i have to figure out why my parking brake error came back. How do i know if i grounded the parking brake wire correctly? (07 Mustang)

I'll bet your bypass pin came loose or is otherwise not grounded. It's pretty common actually, since it's not really designed to be removed and inserted into a different slot. If so, just make sure it's in tight (with a click) then re-seat the connector.

after i check to make sure the pin didnt come out should I reset the system before checking if its bypassed? Or just reinsert the pin and turn the car on?

You shouldn't have to reset any thing in the software. It's either grounded or it's not. Check that e-brake while you're there to, just for good measure ;)

I think thats where my problem is ...on my end(E-Brake). I see the light green wire which is stated as the e-brake. and I see that it is connect to another wire from my car....my problem is i dont know how to check if the e-brake is done correctly becuz i dont know what exactly to look for.

If you have a multi-meter/fluke-meter/continuity-tester, just put one lead on the the e-brake wire (green I think) and the other on any bare metal in your car. If you get a tone (continuity), then it's setup correctly.

Without a meter you'd have to trace the cables and make sure it (eventually) ties in to a black wire. Keep in min though that some installers MIGHT use black wire for other things, so black doesn't necessarily mean ground.

I cant figure out what I doing wrong.

I download your .exe file to my desktop, insert a blank cd, and click on the .exe

it says its "destination file" is my desktop and suddenly the .iso file shows up in my desktop

Edit: I checked and my hard drive (desktop) is on C:

my burner is d:

I finally got it to work.

only thing I think I might have been doing wrong, would be not waiting long enough for the computer to recognize it had a blank disk in it before I started the .exe file.

MY CD Burner is the E Drive, can you reconfigure and send me the link. I tried it the way you had it already and it didnt work, although it did burn to the drive.

If you can successfully follow Pioneer's instructions here then you don't need this. But if you want, here ya go:
