Hey guys, i just signed up on this forum after getting my first pioneer d2. I just did the bypass as well, thanks for the info on this site. I thought by doing the bypass i would be able to control navigation while moving (which works) and watch dvd movies. But i found out that d2 is not suppose to play dvd movies unless you buy an external dvd player? Is that true? or are there people playing dvd movies without buying an external dvd player? I also used the search function but got no results. Any info is much appreciated. thank you.

Yup. The DVD drive is only for the nav disks. It will not play any audio or video from that drive. It only plays media from the CD drive.

thank you so much buddy

yea i almost bought a d2 until i found that out. but i do like the way the navigation is setup better in the d2.

Yoiu can watch DVD's if you connect the external dvd to the tap on the D2
