Hey everyone. I have been using my AVIC-D3 for almost a year now and I am loving it. However, now I want to add a TV tuner. I know I could go and buy a cheap one with a remote, but what about one from pioneer so I can use the touch screen.

Any one know if the Pioneer GEX-P5700TV will work with th D3?

im sure itll work if you hook up the video out to the av1 in on the d3 but since the d3 isnt compaltible with any tv tuner, youll have to use the tuner control to switch channels. no touch screen. basically the d3 will just be a monitor

but why buy any tv tuner unless its Digital TV ready?

if you buy that tuner now, itll be obsolete in 02/2009.

dont bother and just wait to see if pioneer issues a dtv ready one.

I'm not a forum noob, I did a search before posting. However, when searching for the keyword TV, all I got was:

"No topics or posts met your search criteria"

I'm not sure how you got your results, but thank you.

I searched for "TV tuner"... TV is too short of a term for the search to use.
