Hey, new member here, hoping somebody can lend me a hand!

I got the AVIC-D3 about 3 months ago. It's been working fine up until now. When I try to boot it up, it boots, then goes automatically to OFF, no matter what it was in when I turned it off. Once its in OFF, the buttons don't respond, touch screen doesn't do anything. It just sits there frozen. If I reset it, I enter my password, and it works fine. Once I shut the truck off, and turn it back on, I'm back to the frozen OFF screen. I disconnected my iPod, cycled the power at the battery, removed and DVD/CD's, no luck. Help!

:( You are still under warranty... if that helps any.

Haha yes I realize. But the best case scenerio for me would be someone on here saying "ah you fool, you just need to..." and provide a solution :)

Maybe because nobody can think of anything that would cause that... the only thing I can think of is that there is some kind of issue with the supply of power to the unit, or the unit is just plain broken?

Yeah I know, it was just wishful thinkin :). I don't think it's a power issue, cuz if I reset it it works fine. I'll call Pioneer later.

Hmmm...I reset it so it would play on my 3 hr drive this weekend down to the Mets game. Since then it's been working fine.

Sounds like you may have an intermittent short in your power supply wire.

What vehicle is it in? Do you have RAP?

It's in a 2007 F150. I would think if it were a power supply, it wouldn't come on at all, and it always comes on, even in the ACC position.
