Z2 reboots with error after firmware update

I installed the freeze/lock fix just last night and now my z2 will just continually reboot over and over. It says, "Starting pioneer navigation system" for about 1 to 2 seconds and then, "Starting Update", then "Update Failed"

It just keeps doing this untill I turn the car off, over and over...

Any help or suggestions are much appreciated!

This question comes up every week or so it seems.

In short, It's the disc. You have a few options:

  • [*:90l7bxbg]leave it in and keep letting it reboot. It may be able to get the file it's crashing on[*:90l7bxbg]take out the disc, let it boot, put it back in, etc.[*:90l7bxbg]Burn it again, slower, on different media and try again

Step 3

Copy the "AVICZ1_HD1" folder and "Basefile.dat"on your CD-R.

*Note: Ensure these objects are located on the top layer of the CD-R.

Make sure that your CD-R follows these specifications as follows;

- You can only use a CD-R finalized with single-session format.

- You can only use a CD-R finalized with "Mode-1" format.
