I've read the books thrre times over and I can not figure out how to get my phone book to transfer from my Samsung Alias to BTB-200. I go to the menus and follow it step by step and it gets to the point where it disconnects the connection with my phone and just sits there doing nothing. I can't even get access to the menus for the blue tooth once I tell it to transfer. It says there is a start button to push in the books but I have never seen a start button. Any help???
Samsung Alias phone book transfer on the D3/BTB-200
Pair the device and register it and everything (it sounds like you've done that already). Then when you go into the section called "phonebook transfer"- it sounds like that's where you're going- go back into the phone and delete the bluetooth unit while the "phonebook transfer" screen is up on your car unit. Then, go to one of your contacts, go to options, send name card. Then mark all of your contacts. You'll be asked to find a device again. You'll have to re-pair the units. In theory, the phonebook should transfer right over. I had to mess around for a while, deleting partnerships and reestablishing them. If it doesn't work the first time, just try doing this stuff in a different order.
Ok, now. You'll actually have to go back into the phone and delete the pairing with the bluetooth unit again (within the bluetooth menu). You have to do this because it will not be recognized as only a push\pull device, rather than a headset. So, re-pair it (make sure that you're car screen is not in the phonebook transfer screen-but rather in the connect or register screen (i forget exactly what that screen is called)). Then it should work......but mine won't auto-connect.
