So i created a video cd using Nero Vision, but when i load the disc into the D3, it doesnt want to even recognize the cd, what did i do wrong

I have found that only true DVD video or DIVX files will play. I use a converter program to go from AVI, MPEG4, or other formats into DIVIX which plays great...

I'm not sure it will work if you are trying to set it up like a video CD/DVD (with menus and the like) but using divx files... Try burning just the divx files directly to a disk using data disk mode.
