Newbie here.

I have video on my 5th Gen iPod and run the iPOD to the AVIC D2 through a 3 ring mini jack that is connected to the AV inputs leads at the back of the AVIC D2. I get the audio with no issues, but there is no video on the AVIC screen. Video is still on the iPOD screen...whether that matters or not. What am I not seeing here? Upon plugging in the iPOD, the A/V button is then active which tells me the AVIC knows something is connected. I even toggled through the screen ratio's and the A/V settings in the menu.

Any info would be very much appreciated!

Go to the video settings menu in your IPOD and turn the TV OUT on

^most likely what you need to do.

Also some people have reported the shuffle feature to mess up video playback. So turn that off as well just in case.

SuuuuWEET!!!

Thank you so much! The TV OUT turned on did it.

Now if I can just figure out how to make the video image as sharp as the iPOD screen that would be nice. However, I'm not sure the D2 is capable of that. I'll have to fuss with the settings.

Thanks peeps!

It won't look as sharp because the resolution on the pioneer's so much larger. You would have to re-encode the videos from the original source to the resolution of the pioneer's screen rather than the ipod's screen.

I ripped a DVD with Cucusoft to get it to the iPod. I just left it in the default position for resolution. What would I need resolution wise for the video/movie to be crisp on the AVIC?
