I'm kinda thinkin I got duped on components for my AVIC D2. I was told the GEX-P920XM would get me XM radio and Nav traffic. XM radio works fine, but I have no NAV traffic. AVIC virtual buttons are non active for traffic info. After the fact, I see that the GEX-P10XMT is for the Nav traffic. Does this unit also get the XM radio stations? Should I just swap out the GEX-P920XM for the GEX-P10XMT? (I am assuming the "T" means traffic in the model number)

What is the difference in the two units other than Nav Traffic...if that's the case?

Can someone clear this up for me?

They are both the same, except the one has nav traffic and the other doesn't. Just swap them and you'll be fine. Just remember with the nav traffic model, you need a separate data cable aside from the IP-BUS cable for the nav traffic to work.

If you've already registered the unit/activated the service, you ca call them up and transfer over the service to the new unit.

Yea, I saw that.

I have a CD-IB100II installed as well, but that thing is absolutely worthless to be honest. More hassle than it's worth. I was thinking of removing that and since I already have a cable running back to the AVIC D2 from the CD-IB100II, could I just use that cable and swap the plugs around? Is it the same cable for the data cable?

The data cable is different than the ipod P-bus cable
