Well, when it first got installed it didn't work while I was driving...
I got it back home and then pulled the unit out. I unplugged the unit (which basicly reset the Z1). I plugged it back in and then the flashing unit worked for a couple of hours.

I noticed that when I was driving I all-of-a sudden got the warning messages that ususally show when the unit first starts up. After that the unit stopped working.

I'm going to try another reset today to see if it works and post the results here.

I read that there is a reset button on the front of the unit so I'll try that first and then set to factory defaults if that doesn't work.

It was as simple as pressing the reset button on the front with the Stylus pen (or something small enough to press it in). I took my truck for a little ride and had full access to ALL of the functions.

It worked like a charm.

hey brynwall please post your build date, it is on the box along with some barcode. It says MFD and then the month and year, please post as soon as you can, and also others who have not gotten theirs to work, please post your build dates!?!

What was the warning message? Was it that the parking brake was installed incorrectly? If so, then you parking brake is grounded all the time, don't do that. Remove that from ground and leave it disconnected... then reset the unit again and you will be good to go.

yeah, i commented in my other thread what happened
