will the ipod classic be able to play music atleast on the avic-n4. i called pioneer and they told me it would work but i would have to buy the connector from apple. any truth to that? thanks

It will work fine for music with the CDI200. You need the cable from Apple if you want video

ok i finally put the cd-1200, connected my ipod and the option for ipod wont come out on my avic-n4.. am i missing something? i am a newb to ipods ... thanks

I have N4 with IPod cable and can use music, video and audiobooks no problem without anything else. The one thing I have not been able to figure out yet is how to allow the kids to watch a movie from the Ipod in the back and listen to satellite radio in the front. I know it can be done with a DVD but not been able to do it with Ipod movie.
