D3 background pic problems

I have a d3 that I purchased recently and I am having trouble with getting my unit to recognize the picture folder. I have made all my pics 500x240, burned discs with just the images in the pictures file and with filler files to make info on disc larger. I had a d3 for a couple weeks that I had to replace before this one was installed and the previous unit read the folder just fine but this unit keeps giving me the "reading error" message and saying that there is no pictures folder. I have burned using sonic and nero and the discs are fine. Does anybody know if there is any sort of update for the d3 that helps it to recognize that PICTURES folder when it is not doing so?

I used roxio. I added the pics I wanted as a backround and named it PICTURES in a caps. Then i found a folder with pics that contained 104 mb and added to the disc in a seperate folder named nav discs. It burned and it works like a charm.

What kind of files are you using as filler? It can't be any other kind of media file, like music or video. You need to use either of these as the filler...

1: A large picture file

or

2: A document, a zip/rar file, or basically any kind of file that the D3 won't recognize.

I used a larger photo as filler. I was able to get a different d3 to read the recognize the folder but this one just won't for some reason. But I don't want to try to exchange the unit at all because every other function works like a charm. I'm curious if there has been any kind of firmware update for the d3 that may address this issue or if there is a way to copy the nav dvd and manipulate the pics on the dvd.

Whenever I made a background disc for my D3 I only put 5 or 6 backgrounds on the disc and had no fillers and it worked fine. Are you making sure to close the disc. Most programs do it automatically but just check to make sure.
