2006 Ford F-150 Install Help! — AVIC411 Forum Archive

ok guys im going to be getting a avic d3 for my truck. i was wondering what i need to do the install i believe i need...

1. wire harness

2. trim kit

3. antenna adapter.

now i was wondering where can i get those from? and suggestions or recommendations? what brands?

also does anyone know what color wires the vss, reverse light, parking brake are and where they are located? anyone that could help or that has done the install and has advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

Speed Sense GRAY/BLACK (AC) PASSENGERS SIDE FIREWALL 70 PIN CONNECTOR PIN 63

Reverse Lights BLACK/PINK (+) DRIVER KICK PANEL IN A GRAY CONNECTOR PIN 13

Parking Brake LIGHT GREEN/RED (-) AT SWITCH HARNESS ABOVE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL

dash kit-Metra 95-5812

wiring harness- Metra 70-5520. or 70-5521 if you have factory sub

ant adapter-Metra 40-cr10

What he said, except you can find the VSS wire in the factory radio harness, gray/black wire. Just went through this install myself.

on the 06 you dont need an antenna adapter. ford started putting in the different antenna plugs in 07.

I have 06, I did not need an ant adapter. Just get the harness and mount at best buy, under 20 bucks each
